About our Club...

We are a new girls volleyball club located in Southern California, committed to teaching, instructing, mentoring, and developing young women to become better players on the court, and more complete individuals off the court. We offer sound technique and high level training for all ages. Our director has over 20 years of experience, playing and coaching combined. Cumulatively, we offer over 40 years of practical application.

Why the "Spitfires"

The Spitfire British fighter aircraft was manufactured to overcome the German Messerschmitt BF 109 fighter flown by the Nazis in World War II. The Spitfire came to represent, at that time in history, the very best aircraft that Britain could build to defeat the very best of Germany's fighter aircraft. It began to be developed to fly faster, higher, to be more maneuverable and to carry more fire-power than the Nazi's best fighters.

Our Goal is to Honor the Legacy of the Name "Spitfire"

We are a female run organization that believes in building self confidence, integrity, and work ethic by creating an individualized, interpersonal focus on each player. We do this by training a heightened awareness of personal accountability and character by instilling life lessons through our coaching methods.

May our players:

* Strive to develop the very best in the skills given to them

* Desire to train in becoming faster and quicker in mind and body

* Desire greater endurance and strength in practice and competition

* Learn to play as a team, just like the squadrons of fighters must have done to defeat the enemy; no one wins or loses major contests, battles or wars by themselves alone.

* Be reminded it takes quality leaders and good communication to successfully accomplish each "mission".

* Understand all of these elements build unity and a comraderie that brings all members of the team together to succeed in accomplishing their mutual goals.

Why Rosie the Riveter?

Rosie the Riveter represents both strength and femininity; a confident, "We Can Do It" spirit. She emerged in a time where every American was committed to a single cause, regardless of what they were required to sacrifice personally. Rosie is tough and fiery, but sensitive. She is a self-starter, understanding personal responsibilty, while maintaing a team mentality. She is everything the Spitfires strive to represent, both inside and outside the volleyball arena.
